Club Manila East
May 16, 2008T oday was our office summer outing at Club Manila East in TayTay Rizal. It is about 20 minutes drive from my home. It’s the nicest so far for all the resort that I have been to in the Rizal Area. The entrance fee is P230 for the week day and P260 for the weekend and the cabanas is P1200 for the whole day stay.
Since it is a company outing, we have reserved the cabana’s two weeks before the actual date, paid the tickets and we are all ready. Our boss gave to us our tickets the day yesterday since we will all not be going together but I was assigned to come early to get the keys to the Cabana’s and deposit 200 pesos each for the keys which they will return when you return the key.
After paying, I was ready to go it because i wanted to go at the lapping pool and do a few laps before everybody arrives but when i got to the entrance, the guard said i need to get a wristtag. What Wrist tag. So I was informed to go to the cashier window again and get the wrist tags but they dont have it, and they told me to go to the front desk and told me that they couldnt locate the whereabouts of the Sales account that we had contact with. I didnt bring a copy of the receipt with me since we already have the tickets. So after an hour of waiting and everybody was getting disappointed, we got the tags.
When the sales man arrived we asked him why we werent informed of the new policy of a wrist tag? But he said he didnt know that time, but still he could have called us yesterday. Anyhow, we enjoyed the swim, the big slide, the waves and most of all the buzzy river but we actaully call it the lazy river where you just get on a tube and let the tube drive you down the path it was relaxing. And of course the Kayak is one exciting to do to at CME.
The only bad part of the day aside from the wrist tag part was that it rained hard but all of us decided to go swimming. It was cold but when your in the water it was actually warm which is nice. The month of May is a bad time to go for a summer outing, i suggest to put it on March-april.

Worst experience. Someone broke inside our room while me and my family were swimming. Before leaving the room, we made sure that the doors were locked, both from the adjoining door connecting the other room and the main door. When we went back, my camera bag including lenses are missing including my wife’s iPhone. We were only thankful that only these things were taken, but what if my kids are inside the room and someone broke in. Who knows what might happen.
I wouldn’t recommend Club Manila East, especially if you have with you your cameras or some gadgets. Security in the area is very poor. The only security we saw is in the main entrance. In the area where overnight accommodation is, there are no security in sight. This happened June 18, 2011.
Posted by Marlon Magbag at June 21, 2011, 10:15 amIm sorry for the experience you got at CME Marlon, We only go for a day swimming but havent really tried overnight stay since we live about 30 minutes away from that area. Yes, i agree with you even during the day that there are no security that roams around the resort to check. I hope with this experience, the CME will do something about it

I think there as miscommunication between the sales/marketing staff and management at that time when you got your tickets. They should have informed you guys to avoid a non-sense commotion. Anyway this place is a very fun place to spend a weekend vacation since it is not farm form Manila, just a couple of hours by land travel. It is quite crowded during the peak season or summer season, never got that chance to do the kayaking, it was a very long list and I got discourage. But the learning how to surf was worth it. Definitely will come back during “off season”.
